In Search Of Hades - The Virgin Recordings 1973-1979" is een 16-cd en 2-Blu Ray tellende boxset met de eerste zeven albums die Tangerine Dream in de jaren zeventig voor het Virgin label maakte, alsmede negen cd's met nooit eerder uitgebrachte live- en studio-opnamen. Tevens bevat de box nieuwe mixen door Steven Wilson van twee stukken van "Phaedra" en "Ricochet" in stereo en 5.1 surround, plus een 68 pagina's tellend boekwerk geschreven en samengesteld door Wouter Bessels. Voor 170 euro ben je dit pakket rijk.
Elke vrijdag verschijnen er honderden nieuwe albums. De Interface-redactie pikt er elke week een uit om voor te stellen, inclusief video en een Spotify-playlist.
De al eerder geremasterde albums Phaedra, Rubycon, Ricochet, Stratosfear, Encore, Cyclone en Force Majeure verschijnen ook als losse uitgaven, en net als in de boxset inclusief bonustracks.
Onder de nooit eerder verschenen opnames zijn het 75 minuten durende Oedipus Tyrannus (door Steven Wilson in 5.1 surround is gemixt) en live-opnamen gemaakt in het Victoria Palace Theatre, het Rainbow Theatre en de Royal Albert Hall in Londen in 1974 en 1975.
